I had been wanting to buy new blythes and I did! I ordered 2 new ones and am waiting for them but heck I am wanting MaMa alot!
This is to remind myself that I do have a few girls that do not have enough "air time" so I gotta learn to let some Blythes "go"but I have 2 more spots for this year.. sure I do not want a MaMa???
*wails*
A co-worker of mine, D, loves dolls, when I bring my dolls in, her eyes light up. They always bring a smile to her face. D is very stressed out right now, she is covering for our office admin, who is on a 4 months maternity leave.
I think we found a great match for Daisy, wig and eyes. These Enchanted Dolls eyes came in the mail and they are meant for Daisy. I love them on her, it makes her look complete now.
This is my fav shot of Kiwi taken during my trip to Germany.
My first biz trip with my new company, I was sent to Germany, Mainz and Dortmund for a short presentation/training. This is not my first trip to Germany, but it was my first to Mainz and Dortmund. I was usually in the south of Germany, Stuttgart and Munich.
Sarah and Kiwi accompanied me there for this trip and all three of us, enjoyed our biz trip tons! ^__^
We ordered this yummy name tags for the B girls when we spotted them on TIB. These are the cutest, being me, I had to get all the B girls their own name tags (with exception of Jinx, she ended up with two, due to my boo boo!).
Here's Sunny showing off her name tag in orange ^__^
I am back on Blythe love, is this a phase or what? I like my BJDs but I still like Blythes, I just needed a break from them for a while. I bought a couple of girls, Melody - BWT, Yolanda (II) - FaPa, T42 - whom I will be customizing into a mohair girl and MSR - whose fate is unknown as I am having issues with the Ebay seller. *urgh!*
They do multiply pretty fast!! o__0
I am heading to Germany next tuesdays, I am bringing a Blythe and a BJD, at this moment, Kiwi signed up for Germany trip but which Blythe should I bring? Decisions decisions decisions!
I had to get a dolly, we went to the store, well, I went to dolly store, DH went to Borders (Dolly store is above Borders'). I had her and MSR side by side and brought home BWT. I don't do fantasy hair well, so I brought her home. Yes, my only SBL ATM! LOL!
yes, I had sent last evening and this morning looking for dolls to buy. This is crazy! Really is, I have my Kozy and an ADG in Canada right now. That ADG was bought to get her parts for my Kozy but unfortunately they do not fit. So I have a hairless ADG that I am unsure what to do with her.
I am considering doing some funky stuff with my RBL Vicky, maybe she needs new hair do, not too sure yet.Maybe I should look for a EBL and fix her up, cos the ADG scalp will fit her very well. Gosh, I am desperate!
We bought a new bookcase for my girls, this bookcase is much more practical then the other. It keeps the dust out.
I don't have much intention to use this as a dollhouse, but rather a display case instead. Some girls are due for a clothes change soon!
Maybe I will wait till BIL leaves, he is on summer vacation right now and he is in the dolly room/guest room. So it's kind of hard to go in there.. when he is around..
She caught my eyes, I wanted a DAL but I saw her on flickr. After some questions on flickr regarding the normal Hujoo and Minihue, I am more or less decided on Minihue.
Well, I was leaning towards Minihue as I like her face up better, but after I found out that she fits Lati socks and shoes and some Blythe shoes, I am kind of sold. Thank you, Girlkoi! *__*
I am trying to curb my dolly spending, especially on resin dolls. Due to different wardrobe sizing, resin color change, different shoes sizing, blah blah blah. So I AM trying to practice one in and one out theory. When I first came across them, they looked creepy, but they somehow grew on you. LOL!
I already have a character for her, a spoiled brat / sibling to my blythes. See she already has that BIG head! LOL!
My lati Elf Miel, Daisy has finally arrived! She got in on monday but we were away on vacation so she had to be re-delivered on wednesday.
She is adorable! She brings the tally to 3 lati yellow babies. I am in love with this little one :) But I am not in love with her new magnetic body, these are irritating! Urgh!I started work at my new workplace today, so it had been vacation until now. I am going to be busy in the next couple of weeks ...
oh, I will be traveling to Mainz-Katel in end Sept. I have no idea where that is, it must be a small engineering town. I will need to catch a train from Frankfurt. It's going to be fun! The last time I was in Germany it was 4 years ago, in Munich and 6 years ago, I was in Stuttgart. It's nice to visit another city that I had never been to. ^_^
As the world celebrates the start of the Beijing Olympics, I am celebrating my last day of service with my current company. My co-workers brought me to lunch at Kuishin-bo at Suntec City. Food is ok, it's really crowded during lunchtime. I enjoyed the company and their generosity.
I am with this company for 6+ years and out of which 1 year stationed in US and another in Spain. I had met many friends in US and Spain through work, it is one of the luxury of working in this industry/company. It is with a heavy heart that I am leaving behind my 10 yrs of experience in my current industry and venturing into an unfamiliar ground and starting from a clean slate.
I do look forward to challenges and unknown grounds, to keep me on my toes, looking forward to learn and to contribute to my new workplace. I wish my current co-workers the best in their future endeavors.
I spent the last 3 hours bidding each and everyone farewell as I move from one desk to another, I feel the envy that they have when they asked what industry that I am moving to and or what will I be doing. Not envious because of the job or better pay, envious or admiration that I have the guts to move away from comfort zone and start from ground zero.
I am/was an electronics design engineer, working in an R&D firm, I design electronics for printers, scanners, copiers, plotters, mainly in the imaging and printing industry. Most of the products I had designed are selling in the consumer and business market. These are what I had been doing for the last 6+ yrs, prior to that, I was working as a product engineer in the same Printing and Imaging industry, I re-designed some of my printers as well. These are what I had been doing since I'd graduated. But after being in the same industry for 10 years, I feel jaded, the interest of learning is no longer there, it's all contributing and my level of contribution is not high at all. You can call this the comfort zone. Being comfortable irritates me, I once told my boss, "It is a challenge to come to work, I ran out of websites to surf." I need challenges to stimulate my mind, I excel under pressure, call me sadistic, but I love being busy, I love feeling important.
So starting today, now, I am no longer an electronic design engineer, this chapter of my life ends. I am moving into a new job scope, new industry and a new chapter begins. Good or bad, I wouldn't know, I knew when I went for the interview that I am going to be slave-driven for work, expecting tons of challenges and travel and steep learning curve. I'd signed up for that. I see it coming. Oh I have to say, my new job scope is more mechanical engineering than electronic or electrical, again another steep learning curve - thermodynamics is something that I need to pickup! (I need to study that big time o__0) With soo much on the table, I am actually looking forward to being busy and pressurized and all stressed out. LOL! Yippee!
Yes, a new chapter begins... oh wait, after my short vacation... yes yes, chapter will start next week. ;)
